Who we are

AlarmReady QLD (alarmreadyqld.com) is an independent online service that helps Queensland homeowners get quotes from licensed electricians. ABN 50 915 654 899. Contact: hello@alarmreadyqld.com.

What we collect

When you request quotes, we collect your name, mobile number, email (optional), suburb, postcode, some details about your home and smoke alarms, and anything you add in the notes. Our free check runs in your browser and isn't stored unless you send the quote form.

Electricians who apply to join give us their business details and licence number.

How we use and share it

With your consent, we send your request to one licensed electrician who covers your postcode (or another, if they can't help), so they can contact you about a quote. We also email you a confirmation and keep a record of which electricians received your request, for our billing and records.

We don't sell your details or share them with anyone else, except service providers that run our website and email (Cloudflare and Resend) or where the law requires it. Electricians who receive your details must use them only to quote for this job.

Keeping it safe

We keep request records for up to 13 months, then delete them. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
